ACE Finally a company taking a risk !First off I've been skating Indy's from 14 till last year at 53. Now I'm no Sean Sheffey,Carroll ,brothers ,Tommy G. , Natas Kaupas Or anyone of the New Generation of rippers that are taking skating to a level that I never thought it would go. Last thing I remember was seeing lil SHECKLER KICKFLIP the COSCO. GAP and then watch El Torro fleet decimated with a tre flip from hello.
Point I'm making is I've seen it all and unfortunately my favorite truck I dedicated countless hours to never really tried upgrade or really brake barriers. Yea the Hollow 11, and they were all good for a long time because nobody had the bank, but they had the design or nobody had the design, but they had the bank .
Nobody wanted to trust a bunch of skaters with some money and possible designs. They even went corporate when they hacked up the design . That was my last straw. I bought my first pare of ace trucks AF1 basics. And I can tell you it was definitely a design that I had been waiting for. I still have a couple boards that don't need to turn as well and I will always have a love I. My heart for Indy's but ACE are make correctly all the buff out Marlena you see on slappys ( sorry they are just Indy's base plates and maybe Gen 3 Indy hangers. They are flat at the end of hanger ( if you like or no like idk ) I don't like . Just means you have to add washer.
Ace has slightly rounded the end so that you don't get that need. Just small things. Yea they are a lil more pricey. I paid more. For my Indy's but EH ! Que Sera Sera !
Anyway onto more of their attention to detail OMG these dude don't have f&n holes in their pours and try to hawk them off anyway. f$%& me throw it back in the Heat and re Pour.! It's that type of this that will make me stop buying something.
It's Quality over quantity !
When you get that in you head that it's proving how well you make your product and that you can prove it your in their !
Ace has made a few mistake in the beginning but immediately corrected those and now have ( I'll say it again one of if not the most high end and most comfortable trucks on the martlet. Yea these are for top tier skaters if you ask me. If you can't ride at that level with the what seems to be called looseness then maybe you just need to ride something just as awesome and my second. Pick on valets trucks GRIND king. This dude is an engineer and has been so above the curve for so many years I mean like 20 years ago he came out with one freaking thing and turned the skate world upside does. I bought like 5 instantly. Didn't care what the price was but he too went through growing pains and now look at him.
I'm not here to bash Independent Trucks I still love the way they turn but as far as keeping up with the joneses. Man you guys are way behind. For now I'll ride my instantly new need for break in ace trucks.
