Converse Skateboarding

Back in 1908, Marquis Mills Converse founded Converse Shoes. Converse moved into the skate market in 1974 with the One Star shoe. By 1992 Converse was a super star, celebrating their 75th anniversary and having sold 500 million pairs worldwide. In 2003 Converse and Nike made a deal, and Nike purchased Converse Skate Shoes, making it a wholly owned subsidiary.
