Ray Barbee
Ray Barbee grew up skating backyard ramps and developed his unique style on the tennis courts and parking lots of Sacramento and San Jose, CA before moving to SoCal and gaining the recognition that landed him where he is today. Soon after movng to Orange County, he found himself skating with Natas, Gonz,Jason Lee, and Jeremy Klein. While tagging along to a Powell demo, he was skating the course before the demo actually started and was asked to just keep skating and was later asked to just ride for the team thanks to Tommy Guerrero and Chet Thomas for putting word in for him. After moving on from Powell, he moved on to The Firm with Lance Mountain and rode for them until 2005. Today, Ray rides for Krooked, Independent, Spitfire, Bones Bearings, and Vans.
Alongside skateboarding, Ray has even carved his own path in music and photography gaining sponsorships from Fender Guitars and Leica Cameras.
